Girls Weekend Away!!!!!!!!

Well, what a fabulous weekend. I have just walked in the door and I am back from Brisbane. I have been on my first ever girls weekend away since I have been married. Even though I missed my family dearly. Six friends went to Brisbane and we stayed under the Story Bridge the apartment was Quest on Story Bridge. Saturday we went on the City Cat to the Mall and had a look at the shops plus we went to Southbank for lunch. The weather was beautiful the sky was blue and this was most enjoyable after having it rain in Gympie most of the week. We decided to come back on the Ferry which was much slower but still enjoyable. The Dockside Comedy Bar was already booked so we needed to be there at 7.30p.m for 8p.m. start. Well, what a laugh. I haven't laughed so hard for ages. I plan on taking Mal there. Sunday after a lovely breakfast in the apartment we headed off to watch Mamma Mia at the Cinema. This was a great way to finish off our great weekend. I look forward to seeing it again. My big lesson this weekend was to go away with no expectations and then you don't get disappointed plus I just went with the flow. Now back to the real life.

Pets!!

In chapter twenty-four Pets, I write about how important my miniature Dachshund, Dascha is to me and my family. Six weeks ago on a Saturday Night our family went to a birthday party and when we came home Dascha was very excited to see us. Dascha started running around the house, this is a common thing that happens.
The next day Dascha couldn't walk and he was in a lot of pain. Dascha was shivering and I thought he must of got the flu. On the Monday my husband, Mal took him to the vet and we discovered he had hurt his back. This is quite a problem with Dachshunds and to add to this we have 2 flights of stairs plus polished floors. The vet had given him some pain relief tablets and mentioned that if he isn't any better in a few days to bring him back. Well he didn't get any better but I wasn't prepared to let him get put down.
So I ring my friend Chris who does Bowen therapy and ask if she could come and treat him. Chris came around on the Wednesday afternoon and did the treatment. I could see a slight improvement but Chris recommended acupuncture and felt that would really help him.
Shauna, my daughter looked in the Yellow Pages and couldn't find anyone that worked on animals. That night I looked in the Yellow Pages under Animal Healers and I found this person Doc Jamieson. I had a look on his website to see if I could find out if he could come to Gympie. I sent him an email and I was totally shocked to receive an email straight back saying that he could see Dascha at 3p.m the very next day. I wasn't sure if that meant we had to drive to Brisbane or if he could come to Gympie. I rang Doc the next morning and he said that he was coming to Gympie that day anyway so it all fitted in well. (I still get amazed how the Universe works)
Doc came and worked on Dascha not only with acupuncture but he is also an Animal Chiropractor. Doc said that Dascha was in a very bad way and he needed to treat him that night plus the very next morning. I was so totally amazed how Doc just lives for the animals. I offered him a bed for the night.
Our family was very emotional, we had trouble coming to terms that we might have to put him down but Doc said we had to see him walking. Doc knew that he could heal him but we needed to trust him and believe him.
Our family watched some DVD's on other cases that Doc had healed. This was really good to see the other animals healing.
So we had faith and took the emotions out of it. With the focus on healing and him walking we saw an improvement everyday.
Dascha was like a really bad drunk not being able to walk but each day you could see him sober up. After two weeks Dascha was back to normal.
We had to keep him of the stairs and the slippery floors which was and is a bit of a challenge. But the rewards are so worth it.
Another amazing thing on how the Universe works is Doc could leave us his Magnetic blanket and machine so we could keep working on Dascha three times a day. Doc had bought a new machine and it had only been delivered the day he left Brisbane, so we could borrow the spare one.
Doc Jamieson http://www.docjamieson.com.au/ is an Animal Healer plus a superb person. Check out his website and if you every need an Animal Healer give him a ring.
Doc not only healed my dog but he has became a great friend and teacher for me and my family .

Chakras!!!

Just before I went to the Mind Body Spirit Festival in Brisbane I was given a book to read from a good friend Doc Jamieson http://www.docjamieson.com.au/ . The book is How to be a Psychic? I was really interested when I starting reading about how to open and close Chakras. This started me on my path on learning more and more about Chakras. When I was at the Mind Body Spirit Festival in Brisbane we could all join in on the Morning Blessing before the doors would open. On the Friday I was really unsure what was happening so I decided not to do it. When I was watching it I felt a little disappointed that I didn't join in, so I made sure I did the next two days. Each morning Lesley Crossingham facilitated the morning blessing and different exhibitors contributed. Gabrielle Hart http://www.gabriellehart.com/ showed us the amazing bowls that she uses for healing. Gabrielle came around to everyone in the circle and worked on our Chakras. She is guided on which ones to work on and mine was the Heart. This was the most amazing experience, my heart chakra was so alive. After that morning blessing I really had noticed such a great shift in my energy.

Playing!!!

I have just spent a few days with my daughter Shauna, alone. The boys went to Toowoomba so this gave us lots of mother/daughter time. I don't make much time for playing but I put aside a whole day to play. This is another great tool for filling up your fuel. First we did the retail therapy plus having sushi for lunch. When we came home I was in for my first ever game of handball. Shauna had great fun laughing at my techniques. Then we had to polish up on our singing skills so out came Working Class Man on the singstar, we were warmed up then. After a few more songs we went on to battle out the best pool player. Shauna is very competitive, something her mother lacks. I can't remember who won what, all I remember is the great time we had.

Taking the Time.........

I have been very busy with promoting my book"My Way to Happiness" and I realised that I haven't been taking the time to say Thank you to all the special people who have been helping me on this incredible journey. I have been doing lots of book launches at different Libraries and I feel it is so important to follow up with a Thank You card. My intentions were always there but I am pleased to say I have followed through with it. Taking this time I feel is an important part of my journey.
My tip to you is to remember to Thank the special people in your journey.

Caloundra Library!

Today, my daughter Shauna and I went to the Caloundra Library to launch "My Way to Happiness". The rain was heavy all the way down but the trip went really well. Shauna navigated me to the Library. But a usual I always need to take one wrong turn, but after a quick right u-turn I was back on track. I would love to thank Milson, Liz and Simone for the lovely warm welcome I received. Since I started promoting my book I have come to understand and appreciate what a tremendous job these people do. I enjoyed meeting and talking with the lovely group of people who came to listen to me speak. Connecting with new people gives me such satisfaction plus having my daughter by my side is the icing on the cake. I really appreciate being in the now and enjoying every moment.

Out of Fuel!!!

Has anyone had a day/week/month/year when your body feels like you are totally out of fuel?

In Chapter 22 Out of Fuel in "My Way to Happiness" I mention different ways that works for me and will work for you.

Below I am sharing another example that only happened today.

I have just come back from fishing with my son at the Mary River. Spending a couple hours with my son Ryan was not only great for filling up my fuel it is also great for the mother and son relationship. I didn't catch a thing not even a bite but I am pleased to announce Ryan caught his first fresh water fish. So guess what we are having for tea. I really enjoyed the fresh air and being in the now. So remember if you feel like you are out of fuel do something that is special for you, like I did.

Communication!!!

In my book, Chapter 5 'Communication' I talk about how important it is to communicate with my loved ones. Life gets really busy and this slips by the way side sometimes. So I think it is really important to make the time to talk. Make it a priority to have tea without the television on and spend the time talking about everyones day. Let everyone have their time without interuptions. Make a rule that everyone need to respect what the other person has to say.
Another goodtime is when you are running the children around to their different events but turn off the radio.
Give it ago, I find it really brings the family together.

This computer world is a new thing for me. Not only am I blogging, now I am on Facebook.
So now you have two ways you can keep up with, where I am up to on my journey.
My head gets into a bit of a spin with all this but my friend Kerrie seems to thrive on it.
I have just become a fan of The Royal Hotel in Gympie. To check out what they have to offer the website is www.theroyalgympie.com.au Enjoy!!!!!
